10 Tips for Hosting a Fabulous Brunch

Sunday Funday. Easter. Girl friends from iconic sitcoms. Wedding weekends. And of course, Mother’s Day. What do they all have in common? Brunch.

The booming brunch scene is taking over as the most popular service time for many restaurants and favorite social event for many consumers, especially in urban cities. But when holidays like Mother’s Day come around, it can be troublesome to get a table in a hectic restaurant. The alternative? Host a brunch from the comfort of your own home. Here’s our 10 top brunch hosting tips.

1. Send an Invitation
   Sending a simple text message may suffice, but when it comes to a more formal brunch occasion such as Mother’s Day or wedding festivities, get a little crafty with the invites. You will want a headcount to properly plan. You can design an invitation to send for free on Canva, Evite, or Paperless Post. This is also your opportunity to share the event mood, theme, requests, or agenda with your guests.

2. Set the Scene
   Deciding where exactly you’re going to host your guests is an important choice. Does your dining table have enough space? Is the backyard presentable? Will the living room be more comfortable? Plan your table set up considering the guest count, as well as lighting and aesthetic appeal.
   

3. Fresh Flowers
   Fresh flowers are essential and will liven up the scene. Try adding a vase of flowers as a table centerpiece. You can also use flowers to decorate the table, drinks, and even in the ice cubes!

4. Plan for Platters

8. Crafty Cocktails
